G-enerate Compost: Currently Blodgett School is not composting, however, stay tuned!

R-educe, R-ecycle, R-euse: To an extent recycling is practiced in every classroom on the Blodgett campus. With the advent of the Go Green Initiative at Blodgett school the Green Team plans to promote the recycling of aluminum cans as well as plastics, glass, and other metals. Blodgett also plans to start collecting ink cartridges for recycling. Paper recycling is already very common-place, in fact, it is not uncommon for teachers to use both
sides of the paper when printing out assignments.  Recycling advisories are posted in the hallways throughout the school.

E-ducate: Flyers line the hallways and classrooms reminding students, faculty, staff and parents to use their blue bins and recycle. In hopes to further promote education on campus the Green Team has hopes to bring environmental experts in to speak to students, staff, faculty, parents, and community, in a sort of open environmental forum. Next year they are also planning on aggressively recording their recyclable materials collected and diverted from the waste stream and announcing their figures, during school announcements, on a weekly basis.

E-valuate the impact of everyday activities: By recycling students learn to honor the importance of conservation on campus and at home.

Nationalize the principles of responsible paper consumption: Stay tuned!

Keep Up the Good Work!
