Syracuse, NY: On Wed., Nov 14 2007 at 4:00
PM, at Naef Recycling, (380 Carr St. East Syracuse) Mark Naef,
President will award a $500 check to Shante White, a senior at
Henninger High School and Manar Suleiman, a senior at Solvay High
School and give them a tour of the recycling plant.
“The world we live in is rapidly changing,” said Mark Naef. “The
price of oil is up 56percent this year and 365% in a decade. Many
people do not realize the energy they are saving through recycling.
Recycling a six pack of aluminum cans saves enough energy to drive a
car 5 miles.”

and throughout the community.
The essay contest was judged judged by a five person committee:
* Carmen Harlow - Deputy Commissioner of Public Works, City of
Syracuse

Committee, Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency
