Generate Compost: Shea Middle School is not currently composting, however are considering composting yard waste next school year (2006-2007).

R-educe, R-euse, R-ecycle: Paper is recycled at Shea, in every room. The Green Team hopes to expand recycling to include plastics, glass, metals and ink cartridges for the next school year.

E-ducate students, staff, faculty, parents and community of the Go Green Initiative: The Green Team plans to send pamphlets home to parents as well as to distribute Go Green Information to the community. Education will continue to increase exponentially as the Green team grows.

Evaluate the Environmental Impact of your everyday activities:  The Green Team plans to get together and brainstorm ideas on how Shea Middle School may put walking more softly on the earth into practice.
